Langvie / German course

A German course that takes you from A1 to C2, one chapter at a time.

Each chapter pairs one grammar rule with one topic from daily life. You read the rule in your own language, check yourself, learn the topic's words, and then use both in a conversation.

The Course at German B1: Das Präteritum with the topic Wohnen, in steps for grammar, self-check, vocabulary, reading and AI practice.

What one chapter contains

A chapter at B1 might pair the Präteritum with Wohnen. It opens with the rule, explained in English, Ukrainian, Russian or Spanish, and a short check. Then the topic's words arrive as flashcards. From B1, a reading text uses the rule and the words together. An AI partner then asks you about the topic and expects the new grammar in your answers, and a word game closes the chapter.

That order matters because a rule you have only read fades fast. Using it in the same hour, in a sentence of your own, is what makes it stay.

In the order the textbooks teach

The chapters follow the sequence of the major textbooks, checked against Menschen, Netzwerk neu, Sicher! and Aspekte neu. So the course sits well beside a class: the Perfekt comes when your teacher reaches it, and relative clauses do too.

Austria or Germany

Pick your country in Settings and the reading texts follow it. With Germany chosen, a B2 text about renting talks about the Mietpreisbremse and the Anmeldung, with figures from the Statistisches Bundesamt. With Austria chosen, the same chapter reads about Austria. Your conversation partner reads the same version, so the talk picks up the same facts.

Where the course stands

The German course is open from A1 to C1, and C2 is being written. English has its own course, open from A1 to B1. The first three chapters of every level are free, and Premium opens the rest.

Every word you learn in a chapter joins your one deck, next to the words from films and articles, and FSRS brings each one back before you forget it. How the repetition works

Questions

Do I need to start at A1?

No. The first chapter of every level is open, so a B1 learner starts at B1. You can switch the level at any time from the top of the Course.

Does it replace a language school?

It covers grammar, vocabulary, reading and speaking in one place, and many learners use it on its own. A teacher still hears things an app misses, so it works best beside a class if you have one.
